Message from York Regional Police

On behalf of Chief Eric Jolliffe I am extending an invitation to you to one of our premier event.  Please extend an invitation to you and everyone in your Canadian Chinese Table Tennis Association.

York Regional Police in partnership with the Canadian Multicultural Council – Asians in Ontario are pleased to host Asian Heritage Month. This event celebrates the rich diversity of our community that traces their ancestry to Asia.

In the past, partnerships with our communities in these events have provided us numerous opportunities to learn about each other’s cultures which is the make-up of York Region. This year we will be paying Tribute to the 100th Anniversary of the Komagata Maru. This event will highlight music and food reflective of our connections to various regions of Asia.

As York Regional Police prepares for this year’s upcoming event, we invite you, along with family, friends  and colleagues to join us in celebration. Admission is free and all are welcome.

This year’s event will take place on Saturday May 3, 2014 from 11:00am to 1:00pm at our York Regional Police headquarters, which is located at 47 Don Hillock Dr, Aurora (Leslie St & Wellington Rd).

Please RSVP to the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Bureau at  diversity@yrp.ca, should you require any further information.

We thank you most kindly for your consideration of this request and look forward to seeing you on May 3th!
