Maple Leaf Cup 2010 – June 12 & 13th – Don’t Miss it!

The “Maple Leaf Cup” Table Tennis Invitational Tournament is a competition among top-notch table tennis players from China’s Guangdong Province and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, USA and Canada.  To be held on June 12 and 13 in Toronto, the tournament is hosted and organized by the Canadian Chinese Table Tennis Association (CCTTA) to promote the sport of table tennis, to cherish the multi-cultural spirit in Canada, and to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Canada and China.

About 20 players, all representing and selected by their respective national or regional table tennis associations, will be taking part in the two-day event, which brings together the most brilliant players from the premier ping-pong countries in the world to Canada’s greatest city – Toronto.

The tournament promises to be one of Canada’s largest table tennis events with an international flavour.  It is expected over 3,000 people will attend the tournament. The figure would reach 6,000 if the attendance to the pre-tournament “Multi-Cultural Games 2010” is included.  Table tennis players from different ethnic groups in Toronto will be taking part in the “Multi-Cultural Games 2010” as a prelude to the tournament.
